Coalition App

Everything About Coalition App 2021

Applying for schools means a lot of forms being filled out. High school students fill out applications for multiple public and private colleges and universities every year. In their search to be admitted to college, the average high school student would fill out 8-10 college applications, and it can be stressful to fill out of all of those applications one by one. That’s a whole heap of applications. Luckily, the introduction of a Coalition Application  allows students to apply to several schools all in a single application. Everything is done once without applying over and over again.

What Is Coalition Application?

The Coalition Application, launched in 2016, is an application platform that provides a better way for students to apply to college. Instead of applying to colleges one by one, students can apply to several colleges all at once using the Coalition App.

The Coalition Application is a part of the Access, Affordability, and Progress Coalition. A relatively new application choice for college students is the  Coalition for Access, Affordability, and Success .The Coalition App, is a free platform on which schools can enter to offer their applications, similar to the Common App.The primary aim of the Alliance is to provide greater access to college to lower-income and underrepresented students.

Two of the following conditions must be met by the colleges and universities participating in the Coalition:

  • The number of under-represented students enrolled is 20% or greater.
  • The number of low-income students enrolled is 20% or higher.
  • Have reasonable in-state tuition or satisfy students’ full needs.
  • The 70 percent or higher graduation rate.

Is Coalition App Free?

Coalition App is free to use. However, Students who are applying to colleges that have an application fee will have to pay that cost when submitting their applications(the cost can range from $30 to $75 per application).

When Are Coalition App Due?

The deadline of any application is midnight of the actual day that the application will close. All application materials should be submitted by 11:59 pm on the deadline date posted on your Platform. The end of the deadline date is in your local time zone, not the college’s time zone. Note that all timestamps are recorded in EST (US Eastern Standard Time). Failure to do so will lead to problems.
